Started at UC Santa Cruz

In September 2024 I began my Bachelor's in Computer Science at UC Santa Cruz.

Why UCSC

UCSC has a strong CS program with good research opportunities in ML and systems, and the campus environment felt like the right fit.

What I'm Studying

My focus is on Machine Learning and AI systems, though I'm also taking a broad set of CS fundamentals — algorithms, programming languages theory, computer architecture, and more.

Early Impressions

The coursework is challenging in a good way. The NLP course (CSE 143) was a highlight — it pushed me to build intuition for transformers from the ground up rather than just treating them as black boxes.

Looking forward to the next few years here.
